See Answer & Explanation Lets Discuss
Explanation

Let the number of buffaloes be x and the number of ducks be y

Then,

4x + 2y = 2 (x + y) + 24

=> 4x + 2y = 2x + 2y + 24

=> 4x + 2y -2x-2y = 24

=> 2x = 24

 7 How many of the following numbers are divisible by 3 but not by 9?2133, 2343, 3474, 4131, 5286, 5340, 6336, 7347, 8115, 9276 A. 5 B. 6 C. 7 D. None of these
See Answer & Explanation Lets Discuss
Explanation

Taking the sum of the digits, we have :

S1 = 9, S2 = 12, S3 = 18, S4 = 9, S5 = 21, S6 = 12, S7 = 18, S8 = 21, S9 = 15, S10 = 24.

Clearly, S2, S3, S6, S8, S9, S10 are all divisible by 3 but not by 9.

So, the number of required numbers = 6.

See Answer & Explanation Lets Discuss
Explanation

Let the sale in the sixth month =x

Then, (6435+6927+6855+7230+6562+x)/6=6500.

=> 6435+6927+6855+7230+6562+x=6×6500.

=> 34009+x=39000.

=> x=39000−34009=4991.

=> Sum of the ages of all the 11 members of the team = 11x.

Age of the captain = 26

Age of the wicket keeper = 26 + 3 = 29.

Sum of the ages of 9 members of the team excluding captain and wicket keeper

=11x−26−29 = 11x−55

Average age of 9 members of the team excluding captain and wicket keeper

= 11x−55/9.

Given that (11x−55)/9 = (x−1).

=>11x−55=9(x−1).

=>11x−55=9x−9.

=>2x=46.
