In the given figure ABCD is a square and C is the center of the circle. If the area of square is 8, what is the area of circle.

Correct answer is : E

Area of square = 8

so one side of square = √area = √8 = 2√2

If one side of a square is a then diagonal would be a√2 = 2√2*√2 = 4

Now we know that diagonal of the square is nothing but the radius of the circle so area of circle as per formula π*(radius)2 = π * 42 = 16π
